Santiago de Compostela is one of the most beautiful cities in Spain and is old world famous centre of European pilgrimages. The Romanesque cathedral with its impressive Baroque façade is in the centre of the city and stands on the site of what is believed to be the burial place of the apostle St. James looking down on Obradoiro Square and the sculptures of the Pórtico de la Gloria.
